How to Make a Paper Plate Jellyfish

My daughter loves sea creatures. One of her favorites is the jellyfish. I had pink paper plates and streamers from one of her birthday parties and thought they would be perfect to make an octopus. Follow my instructions below or get creative with what you have lying around your house and create your own design. Have fun!

Supplies:

  • Colored paper plate
  • Streamers
  • Gluestick
  • Scissors
  • Printer
  • Printer paper

*If you don’t have a colored paper plate, you can always paint the paper plates that you have on hand with the color that you want.

Directions:

  1. Cut a wavy or straight line across your paper plate to make the jellyfish’s body.
  2. Cut out jellyfish pieces.
  3. Glue the eyes, mouth, and desired polka dots with a glue stick.
  4. Cut streamers to the desired length. You will need to cut out 4-5 pieces.
  5. Flip your paper plate over and glue your streamers to the wavy edge of the plate.
